The National Weather Service has extended the Wind Advisory until midnight HST tonight.

Winds this strong can result in power interruptions, downed tree branches, roof damage and driving difficulty.

Motorists should use extra caution.

Unsecured, loose objects could be blown around by the wind.  Secure any loose objects that could be blown around and possibly injure someone.

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 30 mph or gusts of at least 50 mph are expected.

This includes areas in and around Kailua-Kona, over and to the northeast of the Kohala Mountains and
the Ka‘ū District east of the Mauna Loa slopes.

Winds this strong can result in power interruptions, down large tree branches, damage weaker roofs and make driving difficult.

Unsecured loose objects could be blown around by the wind.

Motorists should use extra caution.

If engaged in outdoor activities, secure any loose objects that could be blown around and possibly cause injury.
