sobriety dayThe 2nd Annual Journey to Sobriety – Stomp Out Addiction family fun day is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pana‘ewa Park in Hilo.

The day will kick off with a drug awareness sign-waving event—Stomping Out Addiction—by Walgreens from 3 to 6 p.m.

Admission is free; attendees are asked to bring a gift for a keiki in need to receive a door prize drawing ticket.

The event will feature keiki  games and activities, entertainment, health and fitness booths, information booths, and arts and crafts vendors.

Food will include free hot dogs and chili, cotton candy and shave ice.

The event is hosted by ACCESS Capabilities Inc. in partnership with the Pana‘ewa Association.

The community will have the opportunity to educate themselves on the disease of addiction and seek assistance if they or someone they know suffers from addiction.
