Subaru Hawaii's Share the Love sales campaign

During Subaru Hawaii’s Share the Love sales campaign, the dealership will donate $250 to nonprofits for each new Subaru purchased through Dec. 31, 2016.

Now in its sixth year of its the campaign intends to increase awareness and financially benefit nonprofit organizations in Subaru’s focus areas—learning/reading, animals and the environment.

This year’s Big Island beneficiary is the Hawaii Island Humane Society.

Beneficiaries on other island include the Hawaiian Humane Society, Maui Humane Society, Kaua‘i Humane Society, Friends of the Library of Hawaii and Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii.

Last year, six nonprofit beneficiaries received $30,000 in donations.

Saturday, Dec. 3: Subaru Hawaii Pet Adoption at Big Island Motors in Kona and Hilo

Stop in at Big Island Motors in Kona and Hilo on Saturday, Dec. 3, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and receive a special Pet Starter gift basket with every adoption. Subaru Hawaii will cover all adoption fees at both locations during the Subaru Hawaii Pet Adoption Day and will provide a $25 Petco gift certificate to each family who adopts an animal. Subaru owners who adopt will receive an extra surprise gift. For those who cannot adopt, but still want to participate, a Subaru Forester will be onsite to collect donations and pet supplies.

Share the Love Instagram Contest

Now through Dec. 31, “Share the Love” is launching an Instagram contest, #sharethelove808, open to the public. The winner, selected by Subaru Hawaii, will receive a GoPro.

To enter, Hawai‘i residents must visit Subaru vehicle displays at local malls that will be stickered with Share the Love graphics, take a photo/selfie with the Subaru and hashtag on Instagram #sharethelove808 with an additional hashtag to identify the cause they support:

  • #sharethelove808 #learning
  • #sharethelove808 #earth

Vehicle displays will be at the Prince Kuhio Plaza in Hilo during the month of December.

Hawaii Island Humane Society

The mission of the Hawaii Island Humane Society is to promote respect for all animals, prevent cruelty to animals, eliminate pet overpopulation, and enhance the bond between humans and animals. HIHS holds a contract with the County of Hawai‘i to enforce certain animal-related laws and it offers 24-hour service for injured animals and other animal emergencies, humane education classes, low-cost spay and neuter services, lost and found assistance, microchipping and more.
