Kona Summer Car Show Entry Deadline June 15

SummerCarShow3dEntry forms for the 2016 Summer Car Show at Kona’s Old A Park scheduled for Saturday, June 25, are due by Wednesday, June 15.

Trophies will be awarded in 12 judged classes; hot rods, classics, muscle cars, Volkswagens, Asian imports, Euro imports, 4x4s, low riders, sports cars, mud trucks, motorcycles and race cars.

A $20 entry fee will go to Teach for America, a national teacher corps of recent college graduates who commit two years to teach and to effect change in under-resourced urban and rural public schools on Hawai‘i Island and around the country.

This year the car show will be presented on the ball field grass from 10 a.m until the awards ceremony at 3 p.m.

The event is free to the public; donations to the Hawai‘i Island Food Basket are encouraged.
