Hawai’i County firefighter Yurik Resetnikov will be the beneficiary of a Sunday evening concert at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel.

Kawika Alfiche will donate proceeds from his Nov. 1 CD release concert to support Resetnikov and his family.

Tracks from Alfiche’s newest album, White Ships, will be performed. There will also be performances from Alfiche’s Halau o Keikiali’i, based out of San Francisco, and Halau Ke Olu Makani o Mauna Loa from Volcano.

Resetnikov was injured on Monday, Oct. 12 while body surfing at Sandy Beach on Oahu. When he pulled out of the water his lungs were full of seawater and he was unresponsive. Rescue crews were able to revive him, however, he was left paralyzed from the nipple line down. Since then, Resetnikov has gone through surgery.
