Shriners Hospitals for Children is preparing for its next Hilo outreach clinic.
Orthopaedic specialists from Shriners will be in town from Wednesday, Aug. 26 through Friday, Aug. 28 at the ARC of Hilo, located at 1099 Waianuenue Avenue, serving children up to the age of 18 with bone, joint, or muscle conditions, including scoliosis and sports injuries.
Dr. Craig Ono, Chief of Staff at Shriners, will be at the clinic on Aug. 27. Dr. Ono will be awarded Physician of the Year by the Healthcare Association of Hawai’i in October. Pediatric orthopaedic surgeons Dr. Graham Fedorak and Dr. Jonathan Pell will also be at the clinic on Aug. 26 and Aug. 28, respectively.
Each day, the clinics run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Appointments are highly recommended and Shriners provides care for all children, regardless of insurance or family’s ability to pay.
