RECIPE: Chocolate Avocado Mousse

Unexpectedly delicious and easy.  For best results use a high quality cocoa powder for optimum flavor with in season, ripe avocados for a creamy, rich tasting non-dairy dessert.

 

 

 

Ingredients:

3 medium ripe avocados

6 tablespoons dark unsweetened cocoa powder (adjust amount of chocolate to taste)

1/4 cup coconut cream (scoop from the top of the can of coconut milk)

1/4 cup Hawaiian honey

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Sea salt

Macadamia nuts (optional)

Coconut chips (optional)

Coconut cream (optional)

Directions:

  1. Puree avocados, cocoa powder, coconut cream, honey, and vanilla in a food processor or blender until smooth. Adjust sweetness to your taste.
  2. Sprinkle pudding with sea salt before serving.
  3. Garnish with Macadamia nuts, coconut chips and coconut cream if using!
