HPD Finds Decomposed Body Off Saddle Road

The Hawai’i Police Department is conducting an investigation after locating the body of an unidentified individual off Saddle Road Tuesday.

According to the Hawai’i Police Department, the body was found after responding to a report of an unattended truck off the 15-mile marker at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition.

An autopsy will be conducted on Friday to determine the sex of the body and the cause of death. Dental records will be used to identify the body.

HPD has classified the case as a coroner’s inquest.
