Blue Hawaiian Names New President

Gregg Lundberg has been named the new president of Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. Its  parent company, Air Methods Corporation, is considered to be a global leader in air medical transportation.

As president of Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, Lundberg will be taking the roles of David and Patricia Chevalier, founders of the company, who will be taking on new advisory roles.

“Gregg is a great addition to the team and we are thrilled to welcome him to Air Methods,” said Aaron Todd, chief executive officer of Air Methods. “He brings a distinguished career in travel and tourism complemented by his understanding of the Hawaiian culture and the local marketplace.”

Prior to Lundberg’s role at Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, he spent more than 30 years in the travel and tourism industry. He has served at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa as general manager. The position at The Westin, a Starwood Hotels and Resorts property, allowed Lundberg to provide leadership and direction. He has also spent time participating in the Maui Police Commission, Maui Visitors Bureau, Maui Hotel & Lodging Association, and the Hawai’i Visitor & Convention Bureau.

More than 25 Blue Hawaiian aircraft are based across Hawai’i. The company, since its 1985 beginnings, has grown to be the largest aerial tour company in the state. According to the company, it provides service to over 200,000 passengers every year. Blue Hawaiian Helicopters operates tours and charter flights in the Las Vegas and Grand Canyon region, in addition to its service in Hawai’i.
