Kaiser Opening New Kona Medical Campus

Kaiser Permanente Hawaii will hold a blessing ceremony for the opening of its new Kona Medical office in north Kona on Tuesday, July 1.

Construction on the $50 million project was begun in September 2012.

The three-building, 40,000-square-foot medical campus will offer a full-service pharmacy, optical and vision services, diagnostic imaging, lab services, family medicine, internal medicine, pediatric and other specialty care services.

The one-hour ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. The facility, located at 74-517 Honokhau St., will open for business and patients at 1:30 p.m.

Expected to attend are Mary Ann Barnes, president of Kaiser Permanente Hawaii, Geoffrey Sewell, MD, president and executive medical director, Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, and Daryl Kurozawa, MD, associate medical director, Hawaii Permanente Medical Group.
