240 New COVID Cases Confirmed on Hawaiʻi Island

The state Department of Health reported 3,929 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 184,767. No new fatalities were reported.

A total of 240 new infections were identified Wednesday on the Big Island. The Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense reported that the Big Island had 5,163 active cases, and 39 persons hospitalized.

A total of 6,936 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,126 have died.
