Volcano Art Center will host “Healing Through Words,” a creative writing workshop led by Dr. Heather Rivera on Saturday, April 27, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at the Center’s Ni‘aulani Campus in Volcano Village.

Students will be guided with imagery, visualization and writing prompts during the class to tap their creative potential and discover the healing power of writing. The workshop is for anyone interested in writing a book, finding more time to write, or simply finding their voice to tell a story. Attendees will have opportunities to share their writing in a safe, supportive environment, if they choose.

Rivera is a best-selling Amazon author who found healing while writing her first novel and has been sharing her discovery in workshops ever since. She is the author of nine books and numerous articles and a contributing author of seven books. Rivera currently serves as an editor for the International Journal of Regression Therapy and has been featured in print, radio and web television.
