Zodiac Trio. PC: Irina Mednik.

The internationally acclaimed classical music ensemble Zodiac Trio will perform live at Kahilu Theatre on Sunday, Sept. 30, beginning at 4 p.m. The group is one of the most recognized ensembles in contemporary world chamber music.

Zodiac Trio is comprised of three award-winning musicians: Riko Higuma on piano, Vanessa Mollard on violin and Kliment Krylovskiy on clarinet. The three originally came together in 2006 at the Manhattan School of Music in New York, becoming the first American group to enter the esteemed Ysaÿe Quartet Chamber Music program at the Paris Superior Conservatory. They were later featured in the London-based international MUSO magazine and praised for “bringing a rare combination of instruments into the spotlight” while incorporating “traditional and new music.”

During Zodiac Trio’s early years apprenticing under the Ysaÿe Quartet, they garnered numerous awards in the U.S. and European competition circuit. Today, the group commands a concert audience spanning three continents.
