The county is holding free paper mache classes.

The new “Let’s Explore” series of programs at Hale Halawai continues with Paper Mache classes. The
County of Hawai‘i, Parks and Recreation Program is holding a free program for children ages 7 to 14 at
Hale Halawai on Tuesday, Sept. 4 and 11, at 3:30 p.m.

In this two-part class, students will learn to make paper mache masks:

  • Sept. 4 –  Students will design their masks
  • Sept. 11 – Students will paint and decorate their masks.

Registrants plan on attending both sessions and registration is from Aug. 20 to 31.
