HFD Reports Status of 3 Big Island Brush Fires

The Hawai‘i Fire Department reported on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at 6 a.m. that the Waikoloa brush fire is 95% contained and the Kaalu‘alu fire near South Point is 100% contained.

Hawaiian Volcano National Park reports the Keauhou Ranch fire is 10% contained and is not threatening any communities.

There are no road closures at this time.

Official said this will be the only brush fire report today unless conditions change.
