The Kokua Puna Block Party, featuring two stages with multiple bands, is being held on Saturday, July 21, 2018, in Pāhoa Town sponsored by the Mainstreet-Pāhoa Association.

Headlining the entertainment is Kalapana Awa Band, Tavana, Olivia Thai, Marty Dread, El Leo and the Jarican Express, Loeka Longakit, Soul Town, Brittney Paiva, Brudda Kuz, Makana, Kanaka Express, Keoki Kahumoku, Marcus Mars, JPGS, Bobby Reno Band, Bending Elbows, and Selassieites—all in support of the relief efforts for Pāhoa and Puna.  

Pāhoa Village Road will be closed from Kaleo’s Bar and Grill to Savio Realty, turning the historic old town into an amazing block party with the glow from the lava flow lighting up the sky, an evening to remember for years to come.

Admission to the event is a suggested donation of $10 per adult and kids are free. No one will be turned away.

Some merchants will be offering a “Buy One, Gift One” program where all proceeds of the donation portion will go to the lava relief effort and to local non-profits to assist the evacuees. 

The event begins at noon and will continue until after 10 p.m.

Parking with shuttle service will be available at the new Puna Kai shopping center, next to the roundabout. 

Enjoy an afternoon and evening in Historic Pāhoa Town, with restaurants and shops as well as numerous street vendors. There will also be a food truck area to sample the food from our local vendors

Mainstreet-Pāhoa Association invites residents to come on down to Pāhoa Town and enjoy the Pāhoa glow.
