Traffic on the Big Island is something that many people have to deal with on a daily basis. The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) announced they will be holding its second round of statewide public informational meetings to discuss the fiscally constrained Draft Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) for Fiscal Year 2019-2022 (+2).

Fiscal constraint of the new STIP was done using technical information from HDOT’s management systems, information on project schedules and readiness, and coordination with public agencies and the public. HDOT will also be sharing the survey results that were gathered from the first round of meetings and providing information about next steps.
