Looking Ahead

Trades will steadily trend down through Sunday, allowing land and sea breezes to develop over the leeward areas. Although low clouds and showers will continue to focus over windward and mauka areas, a few showers can’t be ruled out over the leeward areas during the afternoon and evening hours due to the sea breezes and a slight increase in moisture. A return of breezy trades with drier conditions are expected Tuesday through the upcoming holiday, while wetter trade wind weather may be in store for the islands later part of next week.
