Looking Ahead

A high pressure ridge remains north of the state while a low level trough moves westward through Oahu and Kauai this morning. Wind directions in the lower levels will remain east to southeast through this afternoon elevating VOG (Volcanic Haze) levels from the Kilauea volcano across all islands today. East to northeast winds will return by tonight pushing the VOG away from most of the population centers. Weather-wise expect scattered showers favoring windward slopes with isolated showers possible elsewhere.
