Hawaii Island Police located Waiola Akiu. He turned himself in at 7:20 PM, Wednesday June 6, 2018, at the Ka‘ū Police Station. HPD thanks the public for their tips and assistance.

The Hawai‘i Island Police Department is looking for Waiola Akiu, a 13-year-old runaway.

He is described as 5-foot-11-inches tall, 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a green tank top and gray shorts near South Point Road in Ka‘ū.
