Kahilu Theatre to Hold ‘South Pacific’ Auditions

Kahilu Theatre will be holding auditions for their upcoming production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific. The performances will be Aug. 31, Sept. 1 and 2, 2018.

Rehearsals will be evenings and weekends and will begin in early August at the Kahilu Theatre.

The roles of Emile, Nellie, Bloody Mary, Cable and Captain Brackett have already been cast.

General auditions for the remainder of the cast will be held Friday, June 15 at the Theatre. Auditions will be held for Ngana (about age 11) and Jerome (about age 8) will be begin at 5 p.m.

Auditions for adults will begin at 6 p.m.

Those auditioning are asked to prepare 16 bars of a song of your choice and be ready to learn a short dance routine. Email [email protected] to reserve an audition slot.

Kahilu Theater’s Artistic Director Chuck Gessert and with Musical Director Barbara Kopra will have final casting authority.
