Makani Golf Club (formerly known as Big Island Country Club) has unveiled its new name, logo and course details for the first time after more than six months of upgrades and improvements.
The improved course promises players a superior round of golf in the backdrop of some of Hawai‘i’s most prized natural environments with the level of quality in conditions, service, and visual beauty experienced players have come to expect from a Hawaiian golf experience.
Makani is a Hawaiian word for “wind”. A name that embraces the land and the location that we occupy, genuine and authentic to Hawai‘i. Makani can be a cool breeze on a hot summer day, setting you at ease. Makani can tempt your skill and test your resolve, reminding you that mother nature will do as she pleases. Such is the nature of golf.
