WEBINAR: Fighting Consumer Fraud & Identity Theft in Hawai‘i
The Governor’s Office announces that the Federal Trade Commission, together with the Hawai‘i Office of Consumer Protection, will hold a free webinar about fighting consumer fraud and identity theft in Hawai‘i on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m.
Participants will learn about the top scams reported in Hawai‘i, tips for identifying the latest scams, how to avoid and recover from identity theft and free resources to help their community.
Speakers will include Stephen Levins, Executive Director of the Office of Consumer Protection, and staff from the Federal Trade Commission, Legal Aid Society of Hawai‘i, Senior Medicare Patrol Hawai‘i and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
“The Office of Consumer Protection is extremely pleased to be able to join these other organizations in alerting consumers in the various ways to fight consumer fraud,” said Stephen Levins.
