The Kui‘kahi Mediation Center presents a workshop that will be held for employers to learn to give recognition to their employees on Friday, May 4, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m at the Hawai‘i Innovation Center at Hilo (HICH) located at 117 Keawe St.

This four-hour training explores how everyone wants to be recognized, appreciated, thanked and rewarded for their professional contributions. About the Instructor

Joan Shafer is an expert on leadership and culture. For the past 20 years, she has been researching and working on improving employee recognition in a wide variety of organizations. A renowned speaker on this topic, Shafer trains management teams how to strengthen capability and optimize performance. She has worked with companies, NGOs, communities, and non-profits on six continents.
