Hoʻōla Nā Pua will hold an educational presentation on how to prevent the sexual exploitation of minors in Hawai‘i on Monday, April 16, 2018, at the Hawai‘i Technology Academy Kona’s #2 Classroom Building.

Check-in is at 5:30 p.m.; the presentation will start at 6 p.m.

The prevention-based education program is Hoʻōla Nā Pua’s version of “stranger danger” for youth to young adult in the 21st century. The program teaches what sex trafficking is, what the warning signs are, why it is common in Hawai`i and how to get help.

The program also covers the dangers of social media and gaming, and reinforces using privacy settings.

All teens, tweens, young adults, families, friends, teachers, counselors—everyone is welcome.

Pizza will be provided.

The Hawai‘i Technology Academy Kona is located at 75-5759 Kuakini Highway, #203, in Kailua-Kona.

Free two-hour parking is available on-site.
