Puna Council Member Jen Ruggles invites the public to get an update on what she has been working on since she has been in office on Thursday, March 1st from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Kea‘au Community Center.
Topics of a presentation will include the bus system, rat lungworm disease, roads, taxes, vacation rentals/Air BnBs, internet, fire ants, water spigots, farmers markets, building codes and more. “I want to give the public an opportunity to hear from me directly,” said Ruggles, “and more importantly, give me their valuable feedback.” The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session and snacks will be provided.
Councilmember Ruggles represents district 5 of Puna which includes all the Puna subdivisions along Highway 11, including Fern Forest, Eden Roc, Fern Acres, Hawaiian Acres and all the subdivisions mauka off Highway 130.
