Kahilu Theatre will present a special family concert performed by the Hawai‘i Youth Symphony (HYS) on Presidentʻs Day, Monday, Feb. 19, at 4 p.m.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at www.kahilutheatre.org, by phone at (808) 885-6868, or in person at the Kahilu Theatre box office located at 67-1186 Lindsey Road in Waimea.

Led by Maestro Joseph Stepec, HYS consists of 106 students from Maui and O‘ahu between the ages of seven and 18. As Hawai‘iʻs only statewide orchestra program for kids by kids, HYS strives to provide a safe space for music that cultivates cooperation, communication and teamwork among students from many schools and varying cultural backgrounds.
