Registration Opens for Performing Arts Classes in Spring

Prince Dance Institute is now accepting student registration for more than 25 performing arts classes to be held in the spring at Kahilu Theatre in Kamuela and Honoka‘a Hongwanji Mission in Honoka‘a. Classes will begin on Monday, Jan. 15, and run weekly through Thursday, Apr. 25.

“Prince Dance Institute provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for learning,” said Angel Prince, artistic director for Prince Dance Institute. “Our classes this semester will offer something for everyone. We love having new students join us, and seeing their excitement as they begin to learn a new skill that is both fun and challenging.“

The class offerings at Kahilu Theatre will include acting technique, aerial silks, ballet, breakdancing, contemporary dance, glee, hip hop, hula and keiki dance. Musical theatre classes will include: dance and drama, performance and choreo, tap trapeze and theatre games. Classes at the Honoka‘a Hongwanji Mission will include ballet and jazz dance.

Class offerings are appropriate for all ages and skill levels. The semester will conclude with the Kahilu Production of Future Voices at Kahilu Theatre on Saturday and Sunday, May 5 and 6, 2018.
