At 3:32 a.m. on Sunday Nov. 26, 2017, the National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the Big Island and Maui from Monday morning through Tuesday afternoon.

Deep tropical moisture combined with decreased stability will introduce the possibility for heavy rainfall and flash flooding across the eastern third of the main Hawaiian Island chain.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
