Hawaiʻi CFCU to Open Hilo Branch

Hilo residents will have a new banking option available in 2018. Hawaiʻi Community Federal Credit Union (HCFCU) has announced plans to open a new East Hawaiʻi branch in 2018. The branch will be located at 111 Aupuni St. and will be the sixth full-service location for HCFCU on Hawaiʻi island.

The building design will provide members with a drive up teller window, 24-hour ATM and other advanced in lobby banking options enhancing the member experience to deliver the service excellence that has been the core of HCFCU for over 80 years.

“Our East Hawaiʻi members have asked us to open a branch in Hilo and we were very happy to be able to find the ideal location,” said HCFCU President and CEO Tricia Buskirk. “It has always been the vision of our current and past leadership and Board of Directors to fully service our members in East Hawaiʻi and to continue increasing our convenience to our growing membership.”

In addition to in-branch services and a range of online and mobile digital banking services, HCFCU offers free seminars throughout the year on topics such as Estate Planning, Medicare Basics, Home Ownership, College 101 and other important topics. These seminars are a free community service open to everyone, including non-HCFCU members. HCFCU also offers annual college scholarships that have been open to all high schools on the island for many years, helping countless members and non-members further their education.
