A talk called “Climate Change and Hawaii: From Global to Local” will be presented by University of Hawai‘i at Hilo Geography & Environmental Science Associate Professor Dr. Ryan Perroy on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, in room UCB 100 on the UH Hilo Campus.

Organizers of the talk say the impacts of climate change are beginning to be felt worldwide, and future projections are highly troubling.

In his talk, Perroy will provide a brief summary of our current understanding of climate change science, examine global and local examples of present-day impacts due to increasing temperatures and sea level rise, and discuss projections of future impacts in a warmer world.
