A hands-on, Quickbooks introductory workshop will be presented by the West Hawaiʻi Small Business Development Center and Certified Public Accountant, Jacob Burrill, on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Hale Iako in Kailua-Kona at the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaiʻi Authority (NEHLA) campus.

Workshop organizers have found that the problem with QuickBooks training is that people learn how to do a task in a classroom and then go home and forget what to do when they sit down at the keyboard.

This workshop is based on the premise that all learning is hands-on. So this informal, introductory session on QuickBooks basics will use attendees’ own companies and sample companies.

Organizers of the workshop are asking attendees to bring their laptops. QuickBooks Desktop version requires either Mac or Windows.

Event staff will set up a chart of accounts and sub-accounts, classes, items, customer and vendor lists, make deposits and problem solve. Since this is hands-on, space is limited; pre-registration required.

Registration is $20 and space is limited.
