Help Students Be Cool at Konawaena High School

Trajan Satta-Ellis, an 11th grade boarding student at Kamehameha Schools Kapālama on O‘ahu and a resident of Kealakekua, Kona, on the Big Island, is holding is annual pay-it-forward “fan-raiser” for Konawaena High School.

“Hot classrooms negatively effect students’ learning and my solution is providing fans in the classroom will help Hawai‘i students learn better,” said Satta-Ellis.

He will hold the KoolKonawaena Fan Drive on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at the Konawaena High School Bus Terminal from 3 to 6 p.m. where he will collecting donations of new or gently used fans.

He hopes the Kona community will come together to help solve a problem, and bring in as many fans as possible—every donation counts.
