Hawai‘i Island Pools to Be Closed Oct. 1 & 8

The Waimea swimming pool will be closed on Sunday, Oct. 1 and 8, due to a staffing shortage.

Additionally, the Kapa‘a swimming pool will be closed on Sunday, Oct. 8, because of staffing shortage.

The Waimea swimming pool will resume normal hours from 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3, and again on Tuesday, Oct. 10.

The Kapa‘a swimming pool will resume normal hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10.

The facilities in Waimea and Kapa‘a are closed on Mondays and holidays.

The hours of operation for the Waimea pool are as follows:

  • Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. (open swim)
  • Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (adult swim) and 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (open swim)
  • Sunday from noon to 4:30 p.m. (open swim)

The hours of operation for the Kapa‘a pool are as follows:

  • Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (open swim)
  • Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (adult swim) and from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (open swim)
  • Sunday from noon to 4:30 p.m. (open swim)
