Renowned artist Samantha daSilva will host a Fearless Abstract Painting workshop on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Volcano Art Center’s Ni‘aulani Campus in Volcano Village.

The workshop covers a basic overview of acrylic paints and mediums, the emotional language of color and more. Students will learn daSilva’s unique method of painting which includes using rollers rather than brushes, tables instead of easels, lots of paint and water, canvas manipulation and plaster, and using sand and wood shavings to create ethereal textured abstracts.
