Kona Billfish Tournament Trolling for Volunteers

billfish-tourneyThe Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament is looking for volunteers to help with this year’s tournament.

Volunteers are needed Thursday through Sunday, Sept. 7 through 17, for a variety of tournament support, including Kailua pier operations, pre- and post-tournament setup and breakdown, headquarter administration, security and more.

Interested volunteers should plan to attend the HIBT Volunteer Orientation on Monday, Aug. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Ocean Seafood Restaurant, located in the King Kamehameha Mall on Kuakini Highway.

HIBT event headquarters, retail and tournament control will once again be anchored at Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel, located adjacent to Kailua Pier.

The 58th Annual Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament gets underway on Saturday, Sept. 9, and ends on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017.
