The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts will lead an Arts Chat and Strategic Planning Listening Session open to the public at Donkey Mill Art Center Wednesday, July 19, 2017, from 9 a.m. to noon, followed by the SFCA Board of Commissioners General Meeting at 1 p.m.

On Wednesday, art leaders will convene to share successes and challenges with local art makers, thinkers and organizations on themes of collaboration, engagement and building stronger communities through the arts.

Immediately following this Arts Chat, at 10:30 a.m., the State Foundation on Culture and Arts in collaboration with Pacific Policy Research Center will engage the public in a Strategic Planning Listening Session to collect broad public input on how the SFCA should prioritize its time, effort, and resources to help arts and culture flourish in Hawai‘i.

The data collected will aid in the drafting of the SFCA strategic plan for 2019-2023. Following a lunch break, the State Foundation on Culture and Arts will hold its General Board Meeting from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Agendas for this meeting can be requested through the SFCA Office by contacting Crystal Rambayon at (808) 586-0302 or emailing [email protected].

This collaboration is part of a larger effort by Donkey Mill Art Center to expand resources and information for the benefit of our Hawai‘i community.
