Hawaii Forest and Trail in Kailua-Kona will hold a free Bird Catching and Featherwork Talk Story on Friday, May 26, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Noah Gomes will share his analysis of ancient Hawaiian techniques for catching birds.

Gomes plumbed traditional Hawaiian language chants, songs and prayers for scientific and cultural insights. From his study he will share information about net techniques, ceremonial works of art and more.
