The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory at 2:54 p.m. today for Hawai‘i County through 6 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017.

Winds from the South are expected to reach 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph.

A Kona low moving close to the islands will bring strong south to southwest winds to the Big Island through Sunday.

Downed tree limbs may lead to localized power outages.

Sudden winds gusts may make driving hazardous for those in high-profile vehicles.

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 30 mph, or gusts of at least 50 mph, are expected.
