Sheraton Kona Appoints New Director of Operations

Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay has named JoAnn Lenhardt as the new Director of Operations.

Lenhardt has worked with Marriott for more than 11 years, first joining the company in Philadelphia. She began her career in the front office and was later promoted to sales and catering. Ultimately, she found her niche in food and beverage. She has worked at eight locations during her career, including the cities of Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Atlanta, San Francisco and Washington D.C.

Lenhardt’s passion for food led her to own and run her own restaurant for five years with her husband, a chef. In her free time, she also has a passion for travel and the food and culture of foreign countries. Growing up in Europe, her parents encouraged her to travel and learn through her journeys.

“I fell in love with Kona and the Big Island while here during the holidays,” said Lenhardt. “I felt the Aloha Spirit of the people and the beauty of island was something I definitely needed to be a part of. In such a short time, this Island has become home to me and I feel so blessed to be here.”
