The Kona Daifukuji Orchid Club will discuss “Growing Vanilla at Home” during its meeting on Wednesday, April 12, at 7 p.m. at the Daifukuji Soto Mission Hall in Kealakekua.

Carol Zakahi, one of the club’s original members, will lead the presentation.

Zakahi learned how to propagate vanilla planifolia from Tom Kadooka, the club’s late advisor.
