One of Australia’s leading performance art companies, Black Arm Band, will perform their musical theater piece dirtsong at the Kahilu Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m.

Black Arm Band is internationally acclaimed for its distinctive music theater performances, powerful visual imagery, and the celebration of indigenous music, culture, and language.

Dirtsong is a musical journey through Australia’s cultural heartland. The performance is set against a backdrop of moving imagery and text inspired by the words of Alexis Wright and features songs performed in thirteen different Aboriginal languages.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. and there will be beverages and snacks available for sale at the bar.
