The Hawai‘i County Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Kamaili Road, Ophikao Pāhoa, at 4:09 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26.

Fire units arrived to find a 20-by-20-foot structure fully engulfed in flames.

The fire was extinguished at 5:30 p.m.

No occupants were at home at the time of the fire.

Damages are estimated at $6,000.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
