In accordance with an emergency order issued on Friday, Oct. 15,  by the US Department of Transportation, Island Air is prohibiting the transport of Samsung Galaxy Note7 mobile devices on any of its flights.

Passengers in possession of such devices will be denied boarding. The policy applies to checked and carry-on baggage and air cargo, as well as carrying the device in hand or in garment pockets.

The ban takes effect on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016.

Island Air will waive change fees for passengers traveling with a Samsung Galaxy Note7 device who need to make arrangements to store or remove the device prior to continuing with their travel plans.

Customers needing assistance should call Island Air’s reservations desk at 1-800-388-1105 or 808-840-2444.
