Hawai‘i Island hot rods, classics and sports cars will cruise into Lanihau Center in Kailua-Kona on Saturday, July 16, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. to show off their prize vehicles and support the shopping center’s annual drive for school supplies for local keiki in need.

The free car show will feature dozens of restored and custom cars and trucks under the shade trees at the Lanihau Center parking lot nearest Henry Street.

Participants and spectators are encouraged to bring school supplies—backpacks, tablets, pencils and other needed items—for keiki who may not have them for the start of the school year.

Monetary donations for supplies will also be accepted at the Lanihau Center tent during the show.

Lanihau Center merchants, co-sponsor Transmission Technology and other supporting Kona businesses will offer prizes during the event. Everyone making school supply donations will receive free tickets for the giveaways.

This Show & Shine is the third of four car shows being presented in 2016 by Lanihau Center.
