Scheduled Lane Closures, June 25–July 1

The State of Hawai’i Department of Transportation and the County of Hawai’i Department of Public Works have announced the following temporary road and lane closures for Saturday, June 25, through Friday, July 1, 2016.

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather-permitting.

VOLCANO ROAD/MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11)

• KEA‘AU
  Lane closure on Volcano Road (Route 11) in the Volcano-bound direction between Milepost Markers 6.7 and 8.2 in the vicinity of the Kea‘au on Monday, June 27, through Friday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for roadway reconstruction work.

HAWAI‘I BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19)

• HAKALAU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
  Alternating lane closures on Umauma Bridge in the vicinity of Hakalau (Route 19, Milepost 16) in both directions over a 24-hour period, seven days a week for bridge rehabilitation. Travel speed on Umauma Bridge is reduced to 20 mph, and vehicles that exceed statutory size-weight limits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis upon application of their respective oversize-overweight vehicle permits. Maximum width for any vehicle with permit passing over the bridge is 12 feet.
• LAUPAHOEHOE GULCH
  Alternating single lane closures on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between Jardine Road and Pu‘ualaea Homestead Road in the vicinity of Laupahoehoe Gulch on Monday, June 27, through Friday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for roadway improvements.
• PEPE‘EKEO TO HAKALAU
  Alternating single lane closures on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between Kulaimano Road and Kauniho Road in the vicinity of Pepe‘ekeo to Hakalau on Monday, June 27, through Friday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for roadway improvements.

SADDLE ROAD (ROUTE 200)

• UPPER KAUMANA
  Alternating single lane closures on Saddle Road (Highway 200) in both directions between Milepost Markers 8.5 and 11.5 in the vicinity of upper Kaumana on Monday, June 27, through Friday, July 1, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., daily, for grading of the new Daniel K. Inouye Highway, East Side alignment.

KAHAKAI BOULEVARD

• PĀHOA
  Alternating lane closure on Kahakai Boulevard in both directions between Pāhoa Village Road and Pāhoa Bypass Road in the vicinity of Woodland Center on Monday, June 27, through Friday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for roadway reconstruction related to the Pāhoa Roundabout. One-way traffic is permitted on Kahakai Boulevard.
