Hawaiian Airlines completed the month of April 2016 as the US airline industry’s top-ranked carrier for on-time performance, the US Department of Transportation recently reported.

Hawaiian Airlines’ flights arrived on schedule 94.1% of the time, earning the DOT’s top ranking for punctuality.

Hawaiian also ranked second in fewest flight cancellations for the month of April with .1%, representing six cancellations out of 6,239 flights.

Hawai‘i’s largest and longest-serving airline provides daily non-stop service to Hawai‘i from 11 gateway cities in North America—more cities than any other carrier—using Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 767-300 aircraft, making it the only carrier to offer wide-body, twin-aisle aircraft for all transpacific flights.

Hawaiian Airlines also operates approximately 160 daily flights between the Hawaiian Islands using Boeing 717-200 aircraft.

The DOT’s monthly Air Travel Consumer Report ranking the nation’s 16 largest air carriers is available online.

Phillip Nishimura Because Hawaiian Airlines is the only local major passenger air carrier in Hilo and Kona.June 13, 2016 02:38pm
Angie Munro They were not on time on 5-19 and not even at gate on Oahu to off load well past our departure time to Hilo. May not had a flight to catch in Hilo, but still had an appointment to make and after some calling and explaining the plane was late I lucked out. -inconvenientJune 13, 2016 03:19pm
