Kailua to Host July 4 Parade, Concert, Fireworks

In celebration of Independence Day, Kailua Village Business Improvement District will host its annual Fourth of July concert, parade and fireworks in Historic Kailua Village.

The free concert will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. on the lawn at Coconut Grove Marketplace on Ali‘i Drive.

The Steppas, a five-piece Hawaiian Reggae band, will provide the entertainment this year. They hail from Hilo and play a fusion of roots, rock, ska and reggae sounds.

These popular island musicians, who have just returned from a Mainland tour, have now completed their fourth, full-length tour of 22 states and 60 US cities.

Guests are invite to bring lawn chairs and beach blankets and spread out on the grass to enjoy the concert—but no coolers will be allowed.

After the concert, stay for the Independence Day parade and fireworks display over Kailua Bay put on by the Kailua-Kona Community Parade Association.
