A fire hydrant flow test will be conducted by the Department of Water Supply on Tuesday, June 7 in North Kona.
Consumers in Kailua-Kona on Ali’i Drive between Hualalai Road and Walua Road, with the inclusion of Kahakai Road and all side roads in the area, will be affected.
The flow test will take place for a one-hour period between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m.
Customers may notice slightly discolored and turbid water for several hours after the test.

DWS suggests that those in the area of potential impact should refrain from washing clothes and should plan on drinking water needs by storing water for consumption.
