Lacey Uchida stood out from the small neighbor island contingent at the Hawai’i State Junior Golf Association’s Junior Tour Series event on O’ahu over the weekend.

Uchida was part of a small neighbor island contingent that competed at the Mililani Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday in a field dominated by O’ahu junior golfers. She shot two solid rounds of golf to win the Girls 13-14 Division with a score of one-over-par 145. She won her division by nine strokes over Kaneohe’s Kelsey Ota.

In round one, Uchida shot a one-over-par 73, giving her a two stroke lead over Ota. She followed that up with an even-par 72 to finish with the best round of the tournament in her division.
